Siblings Test
Are you truly siblings? Do you share the same parents? Sibling DNA testing is the ideal solution for individuals who wish to confirm their biological relationship. This testing can determine if they are full siblings, half-siblings, or unrelated.
”In the absence of an alleged parent, a sibling DNA test is the best option to establish whether siblings tested share the untested alleged parent. This DNA test establishes the likelihood of two individuals having the same parents in common.“
What is it all about?
A siblings test simply seeks to determine whether the individuals tested share one common parent, both parents or share no biological parents. This test does not need to provide genetic profiles that match at every genetic marker as is with paternity test, instead it establishes the amount of common DNA between the people tested and relies on a statistical probability.
How it Works…
In this test siblingship index is calculated and if the siblingship index is less than 1.00, this indicates non-relatedness. If the siblingship index is greater that 1.00, this indicates that the two tested individuals are more likely to be true full sibling or half siblings.
